Choose what to keep for each lesson

Web lessons save text by default; you can turn saving off before starting. Mac saving is off by default. Saved records contain confirmed originals, translations and timing information. Without saving, in-memory text is cleared when the lesson ends.

Local records. Export when you need to.

Web lesson text stays in this browser and can be exported. Mac records stay on your Mac. Lesson text is not automatically synced to Nelora's servers. Clearing browser data may delete local records.

Know where audio goes

When you start a live lesson, audio is sent directly to Soniox for real-time recognition and translation. Nelora does not save audio or upload lesson text to its own backend. Its servers store account, billing and classroom metadata. Soniox processing is subject to its own policies; see the full privacy policy. This homepage example captures no audio.

Before your first lesson

A few useful answers.

What to know about audio, text records and what is available today.

Can I start a live lesson now?

Live lessons are not available yet. You can sign in to your account, explore the product and view a static bilingual example. The live web classroom and official Mac installer are still in preparation. Classroom and download buttons show their current status and do not request audio permissions.

What audio will the web app support?

The plan starts with microphones and available shared tab audio in desktop browsers. The supported browser range still needs testing. The web app does not promise audio from any desktop application, or lessons running with a phone locked or in the background. The Mac app is designed for native system audio.

Is lesson text saved or synced automatically?

Web lessons save text by default; you can turn saving off before starting. Text stays in the current browser and can be exported. Mac saving is off by default, and enabled records stay on your Mac. Text remains separate across platforms, without cloud sync. Audio is not saved.

How will Web and Mac work together?

The plan is to share an account and allowance across both platforms, while text stays local to each one. One account will allow only one lesson connection without a confirmed ending; opening the other platform will not automatically stop the first lesson. Web sign-in is available; Mac device sign-in and shared allowances are still in preparation.

Do originals and translations arrive together?

Recognition can revise text, and translations may arrive later. Nelora aims to present bilingual text clearly and steadily. It does not promise zero latency, perfect accuracy or a one-to-one sentence match in live lessons. Paired sentences on this homepage illustrate the reading experience.

What will it cost? Is there a trial?

Pricing, allowances and any trial policy have not been decided. This website currently offers no payment or trial. The details will be published clearly before the service opens.
